LT. General Thomas P. Stafford Commemorative Museum Bench, unveiled at the Cosmonauts Museum in Moscow, Russia!
On June 30th 2011, NMLO and HSFP-R officials took part in unveiling of the Gen. Stafford Astronaut Commemorative bench ceremony in the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow. The Stafford Bench was created and presented to the museum by an international award-winning interior and functional art furniture designer, Mr. Kelly Gale Amen. The bench was designed and based on sketches by Gen. Thomas P. Stafford.
Mr. Amen was warmly welcomed by Cosmonaut Alexander Lazutkin, Deputy Director of the Cosmonautics museum, along with other museum officials. The speakers during the official ceremony were Mr. Korostelev, Roscosmos, Mr. Buzzard, NMLO and Cosmonaut Mr. Dzhanibekov, AMCOS.
