The KGA Frost Town Bench was designed and customized as an architectural functional art piece for the Frost Town / James Bute Park as a gift dedicated to Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia. The park is located near downtown Houston near the McKee Street bridge. Frostown (Frost-Town), is an early settlement in what is now the city of Houston, was named for the Frost family, who arrived in the 1830s. This will be the first ‘Frost Town’ bench installed in the park. KGA and the non-profit group Art and Environmental Architecture had previously installed an iron KGA triple bench.
