On July 10, 2006 Houston's own designer extraordinaire Kelly Gale Amen brought "art in action" to the kids of the Zina Garrison Academy at Memorial Park.

The Houston Alumnae of Pi Beta Phi, a national membership fraternity of more than 180,000 business professionals, held its “Divine Design Houston” benefit gala on April 3-5, 2006. KGA was featured as part of the Pi Beta Phi 2006 Showcase.
On March 29, KGA donated an art furniture bench to the Thomas P. Stafford Air and Space Center in his hometown of Weatherford, OK.
