The Stafford Air & Space museum has long been dear to Weatherford, OK native, Kelly Gale Amen. The museum currently features 14 of Kelly’s commemorative “Blue Benches” honoring General Thomas Stafford. Stafford was an Apollo astronaut who traveled to the moon on Apollo X.
The KGA Commemorative Bench program for the Stafford Air & Space museum was created as a way to both raise funds for the museum and to provide functional art furniture that serves both a visual and practical purpose. After all, people need places to sit!
Now, the museum is undergoing expansion because they have, “run out of space!” The KGA Commemorative Bench program is a great way to support the museum, preserve historic space legacy and to provide functional seating elements to museum patrons.
