December provided an opportunity for Kelly Gale Amen to visit the Stafford Air & Space Museum as they hosted an event honoring the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 17 mission to the moon.
The evening saw guided tours of the museum’s exhibits and presentations from astronauts and their wives, recalling the experiences of humans reaching out to touch the stars. Music, dinner, and a silent auction intertwined magic and history for a wonderful evening to honor and support those who have sought to expand the reach and vision of mankind.
Located in KGA’s hometown of Weatherford, Oklahoma, the Stafford Air & Space Museum has long held a special and strong significance for Kelly, with its outlook towards the future and its possibilities…while holding deep roots in the past of his home town and lifelong friends. As part of that bond, the General Thomas P. Stafford Astronaut Commemorative Bench, designed and produced by KGA Design, continues to provide funding to the museum with the sale of each bench.
